Owen Flooring Through Time

In 2005, Kevin Owen founded Owen Flooring, a small Chatham based hardwood flooring installation service dedicated to quality craftsmanship. In 2012, Owen Flooring opened it’s doors at 297 St. Clair St. in Chatham and quickly became

a household name in Chatham-Kent.

In 2017 the small retail flooring store became a complete design centre expanding and offering only the highest of quality paints and wallpaper from Farrow & Ball.

Today, Owen Flooring is firmly established as a flooring & paint company recognized for the high quality and intelligent design of its residential and commercial solutions.

Kevin Owen

With over a decade of success in the flooring industry, Kevin built Owen Flooring into one of Chatham-Kent's best flooring stores, setting the standard for quality in both residential and commercial flooring. Kevin also works as the Chatham-Kent Home Builders Association Executive Officer and specializes in new home construction as well as commercial project management.

Gord Campbell

With over 40 years experience in the home improvement industry, Gord Campbell specializes in residential project management. Gord’s focus is that the client receives top levels of customer service from start to finish, by a proper introduction, to the design, to the estimate, to the scheduling, to the installation, to the follow up. Gord’s attention to detail is the reason Owen Flooring meets the client’s residential needs, on time, on budget, causing minimal disruption to their everyday life.

Darren Johnston

Darren was once considered one of the best hardwood flooring installers in Chatham-Kent. Darren left the flooring industry in 2008 to fulfill a position in commercial estimating. We are thrilled to welcome Darren back in 2017 as our Commercial and light residential Project Manager. Darren is very detail oriented which makes him the perfect person to manage your next residential or commercial flooring project.

Tobie Tielemans

With over 10 years experience in office management, Tobie Tielemans believes the customer is always #1. Whatever you need from the moment you walk in the door...Tobie aims to please. Tobie believes that an efficient, well organized office leads to a happy team and therefore a satisfied customer. Tobie encourages past and future clients to drop in for a visit and let her take care of all the details for your next flooring project!

Charlotte Wilcox

We are thrilled to welcome interior designer Charlotte Wilcox to our team of professionals Charlotte holds a Diploma in Interior Design from Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. She has spent most of her professional career in the GTA area working in the furniture industry and Home Builders on Residential Designs.
With over 15 years experience in Design, her attention to detail and professionalism always present themselves in her outstanding work. In addition to design

Brian Laliberte

Brian has been installing both carpet and vinyl for over 30 years, his installation and seaming experience allows him to have unmatched abilities in the flooring installation industry. Brian is literally an artist and has perfected his trade, the joke at Owen Flooring is that Brian could seam a black carpet to a white carpet and nobody could find the seam. Brian’s ability to install flooring puts Owen Flooring on the map for luxury carpet and vinyl.

Luke VanDerVliet

With over 11 years in the residential construction industry Luke has developed his skills in both finish carpentry, as well as his tile setting abilities. Luke's detail oriented attitude along with his high level carpentry skills makes him one of the best quality hardwood flooring installers and tile setters in Chatham-Kent. We are very proud to have Luke on the Owen Flooring Installation Team.

Ashton Tielemans

Ashton manages all the incoming and outgoing products, he is very detail oriented and needs to be, as it is him who checks everything twice to make 100% certain all material is accurate before being shipped out or picked up. Ashton is also an experienced tile setter and helps our tile installers by finishing up or starting new projects to keep us on time and more efficient. Owen Flooring would be so flawed with out this young man and his detail oriented mindset.

John Martens

John is likely the most meticulous flooring installer in Ontario. With over 30 years experience John leaves his projects only once they are perfect, or he does not leave them at all. When it comes to installing hardwood, Luxury Vinyl, Vinyl Sheet, Laminate or Carpet, any client would be thrilled to have a man like John do the job. We are absolutely thrilled to have John as a Lead Hand on our flooring projects.

Tom Parkyn

Tom Parkyn is an experienced flooring installer who shares our passion for detail. At Owen Flooring we don't just sell quality flooring products, we're providing service, and installers like Tom ensure customer satisfaction without exception.

Sam Kourani

Sam Kourani brings energy to our team. He is a highly skilled flooring installer who pays close attention to fine details. Like every member of our installation team Sam pays close to attention to every angle and every cut, guaranteeing every job is completed with a look that is clean and crisp.

Darrel Fex

Darrel Fex brings a wealth of experience to his Owen Flooring position as Lead Tile Installer. Darrel is a veteran of the flooring industry and comes to us from Toronto where he learned his trade and earned a reputation for quality work. Darrel is now part of the Chatham-Kent Community, and part of the Owen Flooring family. Custom work is his specialty and he treats every job as if he is working on his own home.

Josh Myers

Josh Myers is a second generation wood worker and carpenter, he learned from his father not only how to get the job done right way, but also how to be the best there is! Josh and his dad taught our Team Leader Kevin how to install hardwood flooring many moons ago "He is the best there is" states Kevin Owen 2018. Josh Myers is the only National Wood Flooring Association certified hardwood flooring Installer in Southwestern Ontario.
